Carols at Warwick Castle is back for a spectacular 40th Anniversary event!

Tickets are now on sale for the Carols at Warwick Castle’s 40th Anniversary event, which is set to take place on the evening of Saturday 17th December 2011. The spectacular event held annually in the dramatic surroundings of Warwick Castle is a highlight of the festive calendar and raises funds for local charities and causes.

Tickets can be purchased from www.warwick-castle.com, where visitors will also find a special 2 for 1 daytime offer so visitors can enjoy Warwick castle by day.

The 40th anniversary event will be loaded with old favourites and new features to make it a night to remember and it is expected that the evening will attract over 2000 people.

The event encourages full participation from attendees and will feature carol singing from the outstanding Choirs of St Mary’s Church accompanied by the Royal Spa Brass Band. The event will also be compered by BBC Coventry and Warwickshire’s radio presenter Annie Othen, getting everyone into the festive mood for Christmas.

In addition, the ‘Jet Factor’, a local talent competition sponsored by St. Mary’s Choir and ConocoPhillips and supported by Warwick Castle, is back for another year of talent searching – once again looking for young singing stars aged between 7-13 years. The winner will have the unique opportunity of performing a solo at the event. The first round of auditions will be held on the 12th November at St Mary’s Church and the second will be held at Warwick Castle on the 26th November.

Several Midlands based businesses support the Carols event to make it a spectacular and memorable event for all and help raise significant funds for the charities. Sponsors include fuel supplier ConocoPhillips/Jet, the flexible marketing agency LMMC based in Leamington Spa and energy suppliers National Grid based in Warwickshire.

All proceeds raised go to the charities and worthy local causes chosen by the Warwick Lions Club, The Rotary Club of Warwick and the Friends of St Mary’s Choir charity. The event is also supported by Warwick Castle, and BBC Coventry & Warwickshire.
