Vancouver Quarter, Kings Lynn will be hosting a variety of spooktacular Halloween activities this half term building up to a thrilling Trick-or-Treat evening on Friday 31st October. There will be entertainment, fun, games and music, as well as lots of ‘vantastic’ prizes for the best costumes. Shops will also be handing out sweets and chocolate goodies to Trick-or-Treaters between 4pm-6pm – and it’s all FREE!
The centre will be transformed this half term creating a ‘vantastic’ family fun atmosphere. Shoppers should be aware of all things Halloween, wicked witches, vampires, devils and ghoulish ghouls. Halloween activities begin on Saturday 25th October with a wicked witch ‘flying’ around the centre on roller blades, bringing thrill and laughter to all. Shoppers will be entertained on Thursday 30th October by Dracula and his bride, impressive 8ft tall characters on stilts.
Friday 31st October will be an entertainment-packed day, full of prizes and surprises! There will be performances throughout the day from ‘Circus of Ghouls’ a Halloween show packed with participation galore, games and ghoulish antics. Children will be chosen from the audience to participate in a knockout comedy dressing up game ‘Scare Wear’ and ‘Spooks Parade’, they then take part in ‘Make them Tremble’ trying to outdo each other at scaring the audience which results in much hilarity. The audience can also participate in graveyard games ‘Musical Mummies’ and the ‘Ghostess with the Mostess’. The spooktacular show will be performed between Argos and Westgate Department store at 11am, 1pm and 3pm.
The thrilling Trick-or-Treat evening is to take place between 2pm-6pm, children as well as the mums and dads are invited to come along in costume to take part in the fancy dress competition where they have the opportunity to win some ‘vantastic’ gift voucher prizes. The majority of shops at Vancouver Quarter are participating and handing out sweets and chocolate goodies to trick-or-treaters. There will also be music and games from KLFM who will be broadcasting live during the four hours.
After Trick-or-Treating from 6.15pm-8.30pm families can take part in ‘Witches in the Walks’ – a devilishly fun haunted Halloween trail. Families will have to solve clues to find their way around the trail, bumping into some spooky characters along the way!
Throughout the Halloween half-term week Adams Kids will be participating in the Big ‘Halloween’ Draw 2008, a national campaign that gets everyone drawing. Children will be encouraged to draw a scary Halloween scene, pictures will be displayed throughout the store and prizes will be awarded on Trick-or-Treat evening.
As well as exciting entertainment and spooktacular performances there will be fiendish face painting, arts and crafts, apple bobbing, Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’ dancing and free ice creams for the first 100 children from Italian Ice as well as other surprises and a few ‘tricks’ for shoppers!
