Stores at Westwood Cross open for midnight launch of Harry Potter Waterstone’s and WHSmith at Westwood Cross Shopping Centre will open late this weekend, especially for the midnight launch of the final book in the Harry Potter series. The stores will open their doors ready for the first sales at 12.01am on Saturday 21st July. At Waterstone’s, the final book in the series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, will be revealed to the public by a lucky competition winner. Simply visit the store this week to enter the ‘guess the number of sweets in the jar’ competition. The winner will get the chance to reveal the book, a personal copy of the book to take home and the entire contents of the sweetie jar! David Plumb, Centre Manager at Westwood Cross said: “The response to the last Harry Potter book launch was just phenomenal. We had kids and adults queuing for hours to ensure they got a copy of the book, and I’m sure there’ll be as much demand again this time, if not more as this is thought to be the final book in the series.
