Top comedy Show for Kenilworth Junior Rugby Club

A triple headliner comedy night starting at 7.30pm on Thursday 20th August will kick off a series of “Comedy at the Club” events to be held at Kenilworth Rugby Club.

The comedy events are the brainchild of the new chairman of Kenilworth Junior Rugby football club David Blackburn who said: “This is the only event of its type in the area so this is a first great opportunity for local people to see live comedy close to home. We are bringing together some of the UK’s most exciting new comedy acts at the club.” “The events are open to everyone, not just rugby club members, so people should book their £7 tickets in advance by emailing tickets@comedyattheclub.com .” The venue for the event is Kenilworth Rugby Football Club, Glasshouse Lane, Kenilworth and all the money raised will go towards supporting junior rugby at the club.

The performers are: Andy White, a regular headline act at Jongleurs; James Cook,  “truly original” according to Melody Maker; Karen Bayley, the first woman to win the gong show at the Comedy Store and Tom Roche a “hyperactive” stand up artist who has performed nationwide. The resident compere is Ryan Gough, described as “a powerful stage presence”.
