West Norfolk Has even More Talent - The search is on to find a star!

This summer the Vancouver Quarter shopping centre has joined up with the Lynn News, Hunters Land Rover in Kings Lynn and KL.FM 96.7 to search for the biggest, the brightest and best talent in West Norfolk.

Every Sunday from the 2nd August until Sunday 30th August Vancouver Quarter will be hosting West Norfolk Has Even More Talent in the shopping centre. With five live events showcasing West Norfolk’s best talent the centre is guaranteed to be an exciting and lively venue throughout summer.

Those with a talent, including singers, dancers, stand up comedians and even those with a unique and bizarre talent are being encouraged to enter the competition via the entry forms in the Lynn News or online with KL.FM 96.7 at www.klfm967.co.uk. There is no minimum or maximum age limit so anyone can take part in the competition.

Each heat winner will walk away with £250, thanks to the Vancouver Quarter and will be entered into the final on Sunday 30th August for their chance to win £1,000. Joining the judging panel is local celebrity and saxophonist 80 year old Cyril Grant who rose to fame in 2008 on the popular talent show X-Factor.

Vancouver Quarter Manager Brad Curcillo says “Summer is set to be a scorcher at the centre this year, we have plenty to keep the children occupied including pirate shows, monster trucks and of course the much anticipated West Norfolk Has Even More Talent! The talent competition is extremely popular, creating a fun and entertaining atmosphere that is guaranteed to get shoppers singing and dancing in the streets of King’s Lynn!”

Alison McLatchie whose dance group Alison’s Street Dance Club won the competition last year and who will be on the judging panel this year says “We loved taking part in the show last year and all the children had a brilliant time performing in front of the crowds. There was such a great atmosphere at Vancouver Quarter and we were delighted to win the competition. I am very excited to be returning this year as one of the judges in what promises to be an even bigger and better show. If you have talent, no matter what it is then I strongly urge you to enter”

Andi Woolley, General Manager of Hunters Land Rover in King’s Lynn, sponsors of the event says “Hunters Land Rover is delighted to be involved in West Norfolk Has Even More Talent. Last year the competition was a huge success and we saw some exceptional talent. This year looks set to be bigger and better. Hunter’s Land Rover is committed to supporting all of your Land Rover purchasing and servicing needs and we have a dedicated team of specially trained staff at our King’s Lynn store situated on Scania Way. Hunter’s Land Rover will be at the Vancouver Quarter shopping centre during the talent competition and we look forward to providing shoppers with the best possible Land Rover experience”

Five Sundays, one hundred acts, one thousand pounds and only one winner….the search is on!
