Sweeping from Sauchiehall Streetdown to St. Enoch Square, Buchanan Street is a gracious pedestrian boulevard lined with architectural gems and some of Glasgow's finest shopping. The new 185-221 Buchanan Street streetscape development sits opposite the highly successful Buchanan Galleries and offers over 115,000 sq ft across 9 shops and stores.
With just over four months before the launch of Buchanan Street, LMMC was tasked with managing the project and with marketing the new scheme to both the consumer and the retail and development industry. LMMC was also given instruction to direct both PR and creative agencies, undertaking comprehensive retailer liaison and managing the media training process for key spokespeople.
The development, which brought more than 200 retail jobs, transformed a formerly derelict site on Glasgow’s busiest shopping street. The streetscape also garnered numerous retail ‘firsts’ for Scotland, including stunning flagship stores for Forever 21 and Californian skate brand Vans. LMMC implemented a broad programme of launch events and achieved £250,000 worth of coverage. Successfully leading the development to market and achieving all objectives, LMMC also managed a 5% budget underspend.
