Westwood Cross’ Christmas crowds near half a million

Westwood Cross Shopping Centre has enjoyed a successful second Christmas, attracting over 460,000 visitors to the centre in just six weeks.

The phenomenal response to the centre is attributed to the free parking, late opening hours, a new Santa’s Grotto and the range of fabulous stores offering fashion, homeware and electronics.

The malls are still bustling into the New Year due to the January sales, delighting retailers. Massive reductions can be found at almost every store, including up to 50% off selected lines at Next.

Westwood Cross’ Centre Manager, David Plumb says: “Westwood Cross has everything a shopper needs for a fantastic retail experience – convenience, a diverse, quality shopping offer and a pleasant environment. There were people queuing as early as 4am at the start of the sales!”

Recent additions to the centre include HSBC, outdoor clothing and equipment retailer, Blacks and local hair and beauty salon, Fusion. 2006 also saw the arrival of the new JJB Sports Superstore and Fitness Club. The new fitness club includes a 20m swimming pool, fully equipped gym, aerobic studios, hot relaxing spas and a fibre optic lit aromatic steam room.

David Plumb continues: “Shoppers now have everything they need in one place – they can shop, eat and do their personal banking at Westwood Cross as well as enjoy the new fitness and health and beauty facilities.”

Whether you’re looking for sale bargains or the latest fashions, Westwood Cross has everything. With an incredible range of stores, including Debenhams, Marks & Spencer, TK Maxx and Next, free parking and late opening hours every weeknight, there’s no easier place to shop.
